Privacy Policy
This policy describes which personal data are processed when you visit the website funneleconomics.ai, for what purpose and on what legal basis. Last updated: 13 October 2026.
1. Controller
smidCo Systems GmbH
Roeckstraße 46
23568 Lübeck
Germany
Email: kontakt@funneleconomics.ai
Represented by: the managing director, Dr. Kerstin Smid
2. Contact for data protection
No data protection officer has been designated; there is no legal obligation to designate one. Responsible for data protection is the managing director, Dr. Kerstin Smid.
Please address questions about data protection and about exercising your rights to datenschutz@funneleconomics.ai.
3. Visiting the website: server logs
Each time a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data transmitted by your browser:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- address requested and HTTP status code
- volume of data transferred
- page visited before (referrer), where your browser transmits it
- browser type and operating system (user agent)
The purpose is to deliver the website, to keep it secure and to analyse faults and attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in secure and stable operation. The logs are not combined with other data and are not used to create usage profiles.
Storage period: the logs are erased after 14 days.
4. Hosting
This website is operated on Google Cloud. The provider is Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. The servers are located in the region europe-west1 (Belgium). Requests are received by a Google load balancer; it is a globally distributed service, so the connection arrives at a point of presence near you before it is forwarded to the region.
A data processing agreement is in place with Google (Cloud Data Processing Addendum). The connection is encrypted with TLS.
Google Cloud and Microsoft 365 process data in data centres in the European Union as a rule. For support and maintenance purposes, access from the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission apply as part of the respective data processing agreements.
5. Cookies, analytics and embedded content
- This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s storage.
- There is no audience measurement, no tracking and no advertising.
- The website serves fonts, icons and scripts itself. No content is loaded from third-party servers: no font services, no videos, no maps and no social media buttons.
Consent under Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) is therefore not required, and the website shows no cookie banner. If that changes, this policy will be amended beforehand.
6. Contact by email
The website contains no contact form. If you write us an email – including an enquiry about the beta programme – we process your email address, your name and the content of your message in order to answer the enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry is directed at a contract or at steps prior to entering into one, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering enquiries.
Storage period: we erase the enquiry six months after it has been dealt with, unless a statutory retention obligation prevents this.
We operate the mailboxes on Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland) with the storage location in the European Union; a data processing agreement is in place with Microsoft.
7. Recipients
Recipients of the data are the service providers named in sections 4 and 6, which act on our behalf. Data are not passed on to other third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to
- access to the data processed concerning you (Art. 15),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
- erasure (Art. 17),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21).
To exercise these rights, a message to datenschutz@funneleconomics.ai is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent for us is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel.
9. No obligation to provide data, no automated decision-making
You are under neither a statutory nor a contractual obligation to provide us with data. Without the data named in section 3, the website cannot technically be delivered. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
10. Information for visitors from California and Québec
This website is directed at companies in the European Union. Where the data protection laws of other jurisdictions apply to individual visitors, we honour the rights provided for there accordingly; the contact is the responsible person named in section 2.
We do not sell personal data and do not share them for cross-context advertising.
11. Funnel Economics Core and Strategist
This policy applies to the website. How the products Funnel Economics Core and Funnel Economics Strategist process data, and who is responsible in each case, is described on the Security page.
12. Changes to this policy
We amend this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version that applies is the one published here at the time of your visit.
